Red Grouper / Gray Triggerfish Closure in Gulf State Waters & Louisiana
Please be aware that GMFMC & Louisiana announced the closure of Red Grouper & Gray Triggerfish in the Gulf of Mexico Federal Waters & Louisiana State Waters, effective Sept. 15th, 2021. See the regulation in Fish Rules here:

How to manually set location
A lot of users ask us about closures like this but don’t realize where the regulation applies is different than their current location. In the case of the Red Grouper/Gray Triggerfish notice, this is for Gulf Federal Waters, not (for example) Florida state waters.
